OurTable
OurTable is a community-driven, non-profit social enterprise founded by Ellie Kisyombe. Ellie is an asylum seeker who spent many years living under direct provision in Ireland. OurTable aims to build greater awareness about direct provision and to create employment through food. OurTable caters for events, holds pop-up cafes at churches and festivals, and
recently began producing hot sauces and hummus.
Ellie has a long-term goal of opening a permanent cafe in Dublin. In order to accomplish this, it is imperative that OurTable has a steady cash flow. The goal of this business plan is to
expand OurTable's existing catering business in order to produce consistent and sustainable revenue. Additionally, the catering market can have peaks and troughs throughout the calendar year, thus, it is crucial that the business is structured in such a way that it can maintain regular operations despite fluctuations in income and expenditure. This document
will lay out financial planning, including monthly revenue goals, that OurTable can use a guideline to track that it is meeting its targets.
The successful setup of an OurTable cafe will improve OurTable's ability to achieve its aim to build greater awareness out direct provision and to create employment through food.
