Cork Midsummer Festival

The Cork Midsummer Festival have invited some of the thinkers and doers that they really admire to come and tell you about the incredible work they have been doing and to fire your imagination for things you never dreamed possible. And Ellie is one of the guests! The conversation will be chaired by chef, food writer, and founder of Ballymaloe Cookery School, Darina Allen, who is the responsible for Ellie´s  chef training! We are very happy!

Ellie Kisyombe: Our Table

Ellie and her children have lived in Direct Provision for eight years as asylum seekers. Alongside chef and food writer Michelle Dermody, Ellie co-founded Our Table in 2015 as a community-driven, non-profit project aiming to highlight the need to end direct provision in Ireland. Their goal is to facilitate change through conversation over food.
